This is a six (6) week class, meeting every Thursday starting on May 1, 2025 and ending with the last session on June 5, 2025.

The level up pistol course is a class set up to show people better ways to practice. Every time you go to the range each round that you shoot should have a purpose. So many times people go to the range and do the same things over and over. And folks do not like to practice things that they’re not good at. In this class we will try to help you fix that.

In this course, we will be concentrating on things like.

  • Shooting one handed
  • Shooting to time standards.
  • Shooting classic and new drills
  • Shooting multiple targets
  • Shooting around cover and concealment
  • Pistol manipulations
  • Reloads
  • Holster skills
  • Sight pictures
  • Shooting and moving
  • Shooting from ready positions
  • Shooting from different distances
  • And more

This course is designed around six, two hour blocks of instruction, so each person can absorb and digest everything that’s being shared, and have time between sessions to practice the new skills each week. This class is not a beginners course, it is designed for folks who have an understanding of the fundamental skills with good safe gun handling. This class is for people who are interested in better ways to spend their precious ammo and their time on the range, along with insights on how to measure your progress.

What do you need to bring?

  • You will be required to have a good quality holster for your belt that is designed for your particular firearm. No "Serpa" style or vinyl holsters will be allowed.
  • You will need eye protection along with electronic hearing protection.
  • Ammo 50 to 100 rounds per session is recommended.
  • Snacks and beverages along with sunscreen is also recommended

Everything in this class will be explained and demonstrated, and it will also be taught by three different instructors each with their own expertise.

  • Josh Nelson
  • Bucky, Buchanan
  • Doug Bane
